Good article on MMA. Follows the training for sports specific aspects over generic strength. Got me thinking…. I wonder how much time is needed training in the sport and training to maintain vo2 max? Also wonder what types of aerobic conditioning is more productive ie crosstfit metcon, swiming, ect….
just my 2 cents….
Ahhhh…good old VO2 Max. The most overhyped correlate of athletic performance thus far discovered.
Andy, you get a punch in the penis next time I see you for mentioning VO2 Max on my blog.
Much love.

penis punch…. that sounds worse than peepee slap lol. only heard this from guys who were in the Navy.
agreed about vo2 max. always thought it was odd that some athletes (many that i have seen) with a high vo2max could not do 10 pushups in a row. but someone thought they were fit.
